Soccer's biggest stage is getting its first-ever halftime spectacle, and it's a triple headliner. Global Citizen announced on Thursday that Madonna, BTS, and Shakira will perform during the 2026 World Cup final at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on July 19, with an 11-minute show curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin, reports Billboard. The performance is tied to fundraising for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to increase access to schooling and soccer for kids around the globe; $1 from every World Cup ticket will be put toward that effort.

The announcement was made in a social media video featuring Martin and Sesame Street characters Elmo and Cookie Monster, among others. FIFA President Gianni Infantino said that the show will merge "music and football on the biggest stage in sport for a very special cause," per the AP. Shakira will already be front and center at this World Cup with "Dai Dai," the official tournament song with Burna Boy, and tour dates in New Jersey and New York bracketing the final, notes Billboard. Madonna arrives with Confessions II, a follow-up to her 2005 album, due out on July 3.

Meanwhile, the BTS boys are riding momentum from ARIRANG, their first album since completing military service, and a global tour. The final's halftime show will follow a star-heavy slate for the tournament's opening ceremonies that includes Katy Perry, Future, Tyla, LISA, and Anitta. It also extends a tradition for Shakira and Madonna, who are both past Super Bowl halftime headliners.
