Mom Who Hijacked Son's Facebook Page Convicted

Let this be a warning to meddling (and cruel) moms: A woman who hijacked her son's Facebook account and posted obscenities, among other things, was convicted yesterday of misdemeanor harassment and ordered not to have contact with the teen. Denise New must pay a $435 fine and complete anger-management and parenting classes, after which she may be allowed to see her son, who lives with his grandparents, reports the AP.

New said that after son Lane Hill forgot to log out of his account, she changed his password and began posting items, which ranged from "The only mistake I ever made was having a kid" (but don't worry: she says she meant to post that on her page) to "Check this out _ I went to my mom's and deliberately started an argument and called the police on her. She almost went to jail. How cool is that? Ha, ha, ha." How prophetic.
