Media | Conan O'Brien Rupert Murdoch: Conan Could Head to Fox ... (AP Photo/Rob Griffith, File) Rumors of a possible Conan O'Brien move to Fox are getting closer to reality now that Rupert Murdoch himself has chimed in. "We’re giving it a lot of thought and a lot of examination," says the News Corp. head, adding that there are "different opinions" at the network, but "if the programming people can show us we can do it and make a profit, we would do it in a flash." There have been "no real negotiations" with O'Brien, just "some conversations," Murdoch adds. The biggest issue will be getting affiliates, who currently carry highly profitable reruns during the late-night timeslot, to sign on. "I'm sure we'd have difficult renegotiations," Murdoch says.
