President Trump has a new target in his social-media crosshairs: Bruce Springsteen. In a Truth Social post on Thursday, Trump slammed the 76-year-old rocker as a "total loser" suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome," mocked his appearance, and urged supporters to skip what he called Springsteen's "overpriced" concerts. The president's outburst followed a recent Minneapolis show where Springsteen delivered a lengthy critique of Trump's immigration policies and foreign posture, accusing Trump of turning the US into a "reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation," per Mediaite.

Springsteen, a Democrat and frequent Trump critic, also recently released "Streets of Minneapolis," a song about the fatal shootings of two American citizens by federal immigration officials. Trump, who falsely described himself in the post as having won the 2024 election in a "landslide," framed a boycott of Springsteen's tour as a way for his supporters to "save" their money. It doesn't appear that the president's directive is making much of a dent: Consequence reports that Springsteen tickets are "flying off the virtual shelves," and that shows in a bunch of markets are "selling out within minutes."
