They've been called trained assassins, but one of the two women accused of murdering Kim Jong Un's half brother in Malaysia has a different excuse for his death last year: "This whole thing is a setup, I was tricked." Per the Guardian, that's what Indonesian suspect Siti Aisyah has been telling her mother in phone calls home from prison, claiming she and Vietnam national Doan Thi Huong thought they were taking part in a TV prank show, not sent to assassinate Kim Jong Nam. The women, both said to be in their 20s, will now get the chance to tell their side of the story in a courtroom in Malaysia, as a judge has just ruled there's ample evidence for the women to go to trial, the BBC reports.

Judge Azmi Ariffin said Thursday enough information has been presented to suggest it could have been "a well-planned conspiracy between the women" and four North Koreans who've been charged but still not found. The women's lawyers claim that in the days before Kim's death, the women had been pulling pranks on many other people, wiping them with liquid in a variety of public venues. In his decision, however, which CNN notes took more than two hours to read, Ariffin says if it had been just a joke, there would've been a hidden camera crew and the women would've been seen letting Kim in on the prank afterward. The women could face death by hanging if they're convicted. (More Kim Jong Nam stories.)
