Blackhawks Get Big Two Points, Beat Blues in OT

Chicago rebounded from a late goal by the Blues' Keith Tkachuk, tying the game on a goal by James Wisniewski with 55 seconds left and winning it on rookie Patrick Kane's tally in overtime, stealing a 4-3 win from St. Louis, reports AP. The important win brought the Blackhawks within four points of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The pace was furious late, as the two teams combined for four goals in the final 10:50 of regulation. In addition to netting his 18th goal, Kane tied Chicago's rookie record for assists (47), held by his coach, Denis Savard. The loss ended a brutal nine-game road trip for the Blues, who finished 1-7-1 and completely faded from contention in the process.
