ISIS Leader's Wife Held in Lebanon

The wife and a son or daughter of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi are being held in Lebanon, according to reports. Anonymous Lebanese officials tell the AP that the woman and her son have been in detention for about 10 days. They identify the woman as a Syrian citizen. Sources to Reuters, however, offer a different story: Security officials say the wife is an Iraqi named Saja al-Dulaimi, and she was captured with her daughter, who underwent DNA tests to confirm she was the daughter of al-Baghdadi.

The reports agree that the two were detained near the Syrian border with Lebanon. The move was in "coordination with foreign intelligence agencies," a Lebanese paper reports. Dulaimi was among 150 women freed in a March prisoner swap between Syria and al-Qaeda, Reuters notes. She's thought to be the ISIS leader's first wife, the AP reports. "We've never seen anybody connected so close to al-Baghdadi being detained," a terrorism expert tells CNN.
