The West Coast has been kind to Phil Mickelson over the years: of his 33 career wins, 16 of which came in PGA Tour Western stops. His latest victory, a two-shot win over Jeff Quinney, came at the Northern Trust Open today. A win at Riviera Country Club is a feat neither Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus has ever accomplished.

Mickelson carried a one-shot lead over Quinney heading into today’s final round.  The one-time U.S. Amateur Champion gave Lefty a run for his money until he bogeyed four of five holes on the back nine, allowing Mickelson to clinch with ease.  Next up for Mickelson is the Accenture Match Play Championship, the one West Coast win that has eluded him thus far.
