Madonna Posts Picture of Son, 13, Holding Booze

Not a great idea: being an international pop star and posting a photo to your Instagram account showing your 13-year-old son holding a bottle of gin. Yet that's what Madonna did Saturday, along with the caption, "The party has just begun! Bring it! 2014." In addition to her teen son Rocco Ritchie holding the bottle of what appears to be Bombay Sapphire, the picture shows two of his friends holding bottles of vodka, E! reports.

The picture was taken in Switzerland, where the drinking age is 16. More than 1,200 people commented in the first day it was posted, many of them unhappy. But Madonna responded yesterday, insisting on another Instagram post, "No one was drinking we were just having fun! Calm down and get a sense of humor! Don't start the year off with judgement!" But Radar notes that days earlier, Rocco had posted a picture of himself with what appeared to be a glass of champagne, plus another picture in which he's standing in front of a liquor cabinet.
