Mavs Too Much for Struggling Sonics

The Seattle faithful let their team hear it, as the Sonics suffered an embarrassing 90-70 loss to the Mavericks last night. The loss marks Seattle's sixth straight, and fourth straight blow-out, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Dirk Nowitzki had a game-high 20 points for Dallas, and went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in only 30 minutes of play.

Despite some first quarter fire, including an early six points from Kevin Durant, once the Mavericks took a 12-10 lead in the first, they never needed to look back, as the Supersonics buried themselves with sloppy play. Despite Wally Szczerbiak's respectable 17 points, Seattle managed to put up a new low in total points for the season.
