Boston's Big Three had an off night tonight, but Glen Davis made sure it didn't matter. Davis scored 20 points against a tough Detroit defense to lead the Celtics to a 92-85 win over the host Pistons, the AP reports. The two best teams in the NBA's Eastern Conference were both riding eight-game win streaks.

Boston star Kevin Garnett picked up his third foul midway through the first period and had to sit out . By the time he came back in the second period, Detroit had gone on a 17-0 run to take a 20-10 lead. Davis, however, got  hot in the third period and Boston went on a 10-2 run to take the lead for good. (More Boston Celtics stories.)
