Politics | Anthony Weiner Hackers Posted Underwear Pic, Says Weiner Breitbart's website pounces, says the congressman is covering something up By Mark Russell Posted May 29, 2011 5:50 AM CDT Copied Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., testifies on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, before the House Rules Committee. (AP Photo/Harry Hamburg) A lewd picture sent to a Seattle university student from Anthony Weiner's Twitter account has the New York congressman claiming his account was hacked. "Tivo shot. FB hacked. Is my blender gonna attack me next?" Weiner joked on Twitter, soon after the compromising photo was published. The photo is a close-up of a man's gray boxer-briefs, sporting a prominent erection. No face is visible and Weiner's office denies the pic is of the congressman. “The weiner gags never get old, I guess," the congressman tells Politico. But some news outlets—particularly Andrew Brietbart's Big Government site—say no way, and that Weiner is lying. Critics point out that Weiner had earlier tweeted about an appearance on Rachel Maddow's program, including a hashtag about what time that would appear in Seattle. The woman in question has deleted all her social media accounts. "If nothing else, it does look to have been a very unusual night on Twitter for Representative Weiner," said Dan Riehl, a writer at Big Government.
