A suspect has led police to more mass graves in the northern Mexican state of Tamaulipas, bringing the total number of bodies uncovered since a raid on a rural ranch to 88. The suspect has confessed to taking part in the kidnapping and murder of bus passengers last month, CNN reports. The American consulate in Matamoros has issued a statement warning that the state's roads are increasingly being targeted by criminals, and one American citizen is still missing after attacks on inter-city buses.

"In at least one instance, male bus passengers, including an American citizen, were forcibly removed from those buses and have yet to be located," the message states. "The Consulate General strongly encourages those American citizens considering travel through Tamaulipas by bus, as well as by automobile, to keep these risks in mind."
