Iman al-Obeidi is still missing—but her parents think they know where she is. In interviews broadcast on Al-Jazeera TV today, they said their daughter, who was last seen Saturday after rushing into a Tripoli hotel to tell reporters that she had been attacked by 15 men, is being held hostage at the Libyan leader's compound in Bab Al-Aziziya, reports the AP.
The mother says she received a phone call today from an unidentified caller, purportedly from the Gadhafi camp, telling her al-Obeidi is at the compound and that she should tell her daughter to backtrack on the rape claim. "Whatever you ask for, you will get: build a new house or get the money," the mother said the caller offered. During the interview, al-Obeidi's father showed a photo that he says shows his daughter graduating from law school.
